Created in Grenoble in 1989, the 38e Rugissants Festival has today become an international forum for new music in the greater Grenoble area. Beyond the Festival itself, the 38e Rugissants is also a permanent team working on residency programs for composers and musicians, musical productions and shows, especially

transcultural projects uniting artists from around the globe.
In counterpoint to the festival, the 38e Rugissants organizes a slate of traditional music concerts called the "Musiques Nomades". It is also regularly associated in a variety of cultural development projects abroad.
